This past Queens Birthday long weekend, the region looked spectacular and those who were up early were lucky enough to enjoy this beautiful morning sunrise.
The weekend saw Camp Lake Fire host a group of families with Scottish ancestry who held their annual family reunion. During the day activities were planned with all of the clan members participating and included some entertaining log throwing competitions, sack races, lawn bowls and a good old tug of war. Later in the afternoon, the other Camp Lake Fire guests were treated to an afternoon of traditional bagpipe playing from our Scottish guests.
Winter has definitely arrived in Queensland, but that really didn’t deter any of our guests from spending time out in the canoes, bushwalking and fishing and relaxing by the fire, come late afternoon.
