Winter is coming (26.05.2010)

Winter is just around the corner, but our Camp Lake Fire guests stayed cosy and warm over the weekend around our toasty wood heater.

Although the nights have certainly been cool, the days have been beautiful and warm so guests could enjoy the outdoors and all that Camp Lake Fire had to offer.

Fishing at Camp Lake Fire (08.03.2010)

Camp Lake Fire guests this week participated in a successful Fishing Club Competition.

The competitors spent nearly all their waking time out on the water and the fish were biting well.

It appeared that all of our guests were enjoying themselves despite the rainy weather.

The dam level is up to 89% now making for a fantastic outlook from all of the cabins.

Update from Camp Lake Fire (04.03.2010)

This past week has seen gentle showers and beautiful blue skies alternating daily, giving the Maroon Dam area approx. 10ml of rain.

Our Church Youth Group guests enjoyed the peace and quiet of Camp Lake Fire and even saw a fox scamper along the countryside which would have been a first for many of them.

The temperatures are cooling off as Autumn has now begun and this is a beautiful time of year where the weather is not too hot and not too cold.

The Scenic Rim is a sight to behold with the beautiful green rolling hills, hopefully the rain will continue to keep the countryside looking just perfect.

The week at Camp Lake Fire (17.02.2010)

Well the Scenic Rim didn’t receive the follow up rain the through the week which we were hoping to get, but today the sky looks abit overcast so maybe this week may prove more hopeful.

The days were beautiful this past week end and the weather quite warm which made spending time out on the water in canoes and skiing behind their boats, very enjoyable for Camp Lake Fire guests.

The days are starting off quite humid which usually means rain is on the way, so here’s hoping there will be more for the beautiful Scenic Rim.

Holidays by the lake (25.09.2009)

The dam level is over 60% and rising, so our little peninsula at Camp Lake Fire is once again surrounded by water—so great opportunity to go fishing, canoeing, or even swimming, right from your cabin door…
